| DaSouth.com chose to leak this song to silence a lot of the unnecessary comments toward Tonex from the other track we leaked called “Gospop.” C’mon, folks… the sign of a true Christian is our love – a love that loves someone eventhough we may disagree or see things differently.
This song is BEAUTIFUL and simply makes you want to worship! Quite a few songs on the mixtape are of this nature. But instead, people can hear one song and dismiss a person’s ministry and know their walk with God.
We can’t help but wonder had it been someone else, (maybe your favorite artist) if anything would have been said in a negative light. As a matter of fact, NO-ONE said anythng about the “Swagger Like Us” song we leaked (it also used a secular beat). Actually it received a decent amount of love. No-one questioned their Christianity either.
Tonex doesn’t even know we leaked this song, and hopefully he won’t mind. But some didn’t think the other track was “Christian” enough, and instead made judgment al remarks upon our brother off of one song. We don’t post this as a “take this” or anything. But it’s in hopes that some will see that our dear brother Tonex needs your support like your other favorite artists. What he did in the past is in the past. Thank God He doesn’t hold things against us once we repent. There is actually a song on the mixtape that deals with this.
Hopefully you’ll enjoy. After hearing it, support the brother and purchase the album. All of the tracks are original music except “Gospop.”
