Cultural icon, Kanye West, has been the hottest topic of conversation in A LOT of music and creative communities. His new album, ‘TLOP (The Life Of Pablo),’ just dropped. He has Christian hip-hop talking. Kanye called ‘TLOP’ a “Gospel” album, though there are various opinions on that claim. Ye uses profanity and paints ungodly images at different points in the project [We don’t recommend you listen to it if you’re looking for Christian music].

Profanity aside, it seems Kanye’s worldview has shifted or is shifting. West even said that the ‘The Life Of Pablo’ means ‘The Life Of Paul.’ The Apostle Paul. Crazy right? Shout-out to Rapzilla.com for calling it. The Chicago, Illinois-based emcee continues to express his beliefs in front of millions.

Many are wondering where he is at spiritually. Should they? Did the latest episode of Saturday Night Live give us another clue?

Today (February 14), on the most recent SNL, something super dope happened. Kanye West performed his Gospel song titled “Ultralight Beam,” which features Kirk Franklin, The Dream, Kelly Price, and Chance The Rapper [Who recently proclaimed faith in Jesus Christ].

Towards the end of the performance, Kirk Franklin prayed over The College Dropout-crafter and called him his little brother.

Father, this prayer is for everyone that feels they’re not good enough. This prayer’s for everybody that feels like they’re too messed up. For everyone that feels they’ve said “I’m sorry” too many times. You can never go too far when you can’t come back home again. – Kirk Franklin according to Genius.

The performance is below:

Franklin, who is a consistent supporter of Christian hip-hop, said the following after SNL.

Kanye is not me. I am not him. He is my brother I am proud to do life with. No sprints, but Marathons; like most of us…
