According to Billboard magazine, William Morris Endeavor, Steel Wool Entertainment, and Collision Records have launched a strategic alliance targeting the rapidly growing Christian hip-hop genre. WME is a talent agency that has Drake, Nas, and Andy Mineo, among others on their roster. WME, will oversee Collision Records‘ live performances, film projects, and sponsorships. Alex Faith, Dre Murray, Corey Paul, and Swoope (Collision Records artists) will be managed and consulted by Steel Wool, an entertainment company that works with rapper Watsky and Gospel music legend Kirk Franklin. Billboard also mentioned that albums by Murray, Paul, and Swoope are slated for release between July and November.
In addition, a compilation album by all four (Alex Faith, Dre Murray, Corey Paul, and Swoope) under the moniker We Live As Kings, national tour, and television reality show are in the works for Collision. Read the full Billboard story HERE.

What projects from Collision are you excited about the most?

A WLAK album without Gray is going to be weird at first but Im excited about it either way.
I think it’s important to have groups of partners working to the same goal. As artist, I hope they don’t get put in a box or have their music shelved for extended periods. As far as projects go, I’m looking forward to all of them. The biggest challenge was Swoope’s “Cinema” but given his abilities I’m looking for a better follow up. But Dre, Corey, Alex all have had good success and improved flows so follow ups need a little more Christ and a little less self, in my opinion. We build the body of Christ why not talk more about him?
