Humble Beast Records artist Propaganda is currently one of the most relevant lyricists in the Christian hip-hop community and a member of pioneering CHH collective Tunnel Rats. In a recent interview with Jam The Hype’s Chris Chicago at SXSW 2015, the Crimson Cord-emcee talked about the possibility of a new Tunnel Rats project. In addition, Prop spoke about his love for the art of performing, the Christian hip-hop label, his favorite song, what’s next and more.

Propaganda said that Tunnel Rats producer Peace 586 is pushing for a new TR album.

You know what. Peace 586 is like really pushing to make that happen.

If a new Tunnel Rats record becomes a work in progress, Propaganda sees no reason why he wouldn’t be a part of it.

Why not? I would have no reason to not.

Prop is secure in the legacy his crew Tunnel Rats has left, regardless if they drop another album as a collective in the future or not.

“You got to be ok with your role in history,” Propaganda said. “There are battles that I’m not going to pick up because I’m okay with my place in history. So, if my place in history is this socially aware kind of politically driven Christian rapper, so be it. Or if it’s not that, whatever the case may be, I think hip-hop has room for all of it. It’s all good. So even if there isn’t another Tunnel Rats record, I’m cool with what we did.”

Many consider Tunnel Rats albums like Experience and Tunnel Vision classics. Jurny Big and Peace 586 (Tunnel Rats members/The Battery) recently released an album titled The Change Up.
