This song was recorded over a year ago. I haven’t listened to it in a very long time. This was one of the first songs recorded when I was preparing to release my 4th official studio album. This song takes me to a place. It takes me back to a place when I was living outwardly to please public perception. I censored myself because I was fearful of what others may say or think. Most people look at me like I’m an accomplished individual, and I ask myself, “Is this my fault that I’m being viewed this way? Have I put on a show that good?” LOL. I’m nowhere near perfection, but I’m steadily evolving. I strive everyday to be a great husband, father, and man of God, but sometimes I do miss the mark. I’m aware of my flaws, and I own them. I’m grateful for songs like this. To some it will be just another song, but to me it’s a constant reminder of what I got through and where I’m headed. Blessings.
