Customary is a hip hop artist and producer from the great northwest. His roots for hip hop music started in a small town called Chehalis, Washington, just south of Seattle, where the influence began with Blackstar, Common, The Pharcyde, J Dilla, D’angelo, and much more. He started out producing at 16 years old, and has pursued rapping since the age of 19. In his career, he has released 2 albums along with 2 instrumental albums, and has had music licensed with companies such as Apple, NBC, and Netflix. In his new album Compassion, you will hear topics of acceptance, forgiveness, genuine selflessness, as well as purpose, religion and love of all kinds. It is an effort to be vulnerable and honest, and to challenge all walks of life to be understanding of each other, before putting each other into a box.

We have seen many come to Christ through the music played on Jam The Hype’s radio show (Jam The Hype LIVE with Chris Chicago), online radio station, and the content on the site and want to continue using the vessel of music, radio, TV, and web to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
