Bio/Notes: Born and raised in Chicago and surrounding ‘burbs. G.R.’s life started off chaotic, grim and hopeless. His Parents abused alcohol and drugs heavily, which led him to follow the same path as a teen and later as an adult. He went to jail several times for stealing, possession, and public intoxication.  He would walk into a liquor store, take what he wanted and walk right back out.  He was the first one to ask where the weed was and the last to admit that he needed a Savior. When people asked how he was doing, he wanted to tell them that he was falling. He felt like he was plummeting down a bottomless pit at 100 miles per hour because he knew he was living in sin. So instead of being real about it, he lied and pretended that life was all good and continued to cover up how he really felt with sex, drugs and alcohol. He had no hope and didn’t think he would even live to be 20 yrs. old. He lived day to day with a ‘nothing to lose’ mentality but knew in the back of his mind that there was more to life and that there was a higher purpose for him breathing than the way he had been living.
Today, he’s more focused on Jesus than he’s ever been. He has the right people in place, proper finances, and a perfect God to pursue his calling in music. Nothing is going to stop him from fulfilling his purpose, which is to give God glory while he yet breathes. He’s no longer running from God and can rejoice because his name is written in heaven! In John 15:5, Jesus says, ‘Without me, ye can do nothing.’ Today, G.R. realizes the importance of Jesus’ redeeming sacrifice, unconditional love and flawless Word. He presses toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus! The devil can’t stop him and HELL CAN’T CATCH HIM!!
