Crossover Church (home of the annual FlavorFest Urban Leadership Conference) and their in-house magazine, S.O.U.Lmag, recently inked a partnership agreement with American Bible Society for their 23rd and 24th issue of the magazine. ABS has a desire to help people in the urban context engage in scripture. ABS is supplying funding, some additional content, and new distribution channels for the magazine both physically and digitally. 10,000 physical copies will be printed of the upcoming issues, as they’ll be distributed free at several ABS leadership events, Exponential Conference, the UYWI 360 Conference, Ignite Conference, the City Takers Movie Premiere, and at Crossover Church.

The magazine will be available for free digital download and will be promoted through S.O.U.Lmag TV and ABS youth partners as well as other Bible Societies around the world. Publisher Tommy “Urban D.” Kyllonen said, “We are super excited about this new partnership with American Bible Society. We have built a solid relationship with them over the years working on several projects, and they have a big heart to reach the urban culture. This is going to have a huge kingdom impact reaching urban youth and young adults.”

S.O.U.Lmag 23 features DJ Promote on the cover and is currently being printed. The new issue also has articles featuring KJ-52’s Guinness World Record attempt for team freestyle, a new graffiti section, the City Takers documentary, a new fashion section, and an overall theme addressing the fatherless crisis and human trafficking.

This will be the official magazine of the Urban Youth Workers Institute 360 Conference in LA on May 15th-17th as 1,000 youth workers gather in L.A. S.O.U.Lmag is also in the final phase of developing their new custom app. The new issue will be available for free digital download in May when their new website soulmag.tv is launched.
