808xEliTE Working With Paul Morris On ‘The UNDER DOG’ Mixtape

The popular producers have already put in studio time with Miami, Florida-based emcee Paul Morris.

808xEliTE (Tyshane Thompson and Matt Massaro) are crafting records with one of Miami’s rising rappers/singers, Paul Morris. They are a part of the production process for Morris’s forthcoming mixtape, The UNDER DOG.

808xEliTE (Miami/Orlando, FL) is an award-winning production duo that has created instrumentals for artists like Grammy award-winning emcee Lecrae, Andy Mineo, Tedashii, Papa San, KB and Swoope, to name a few.

Paul Morris has worked with multi-platinum producer Tony Kelly, Dance Hall pioneer Papa San, Christian Hip Hop group Authentik (Serge, Big Mike, Prospekt, M.I.C., E-Van and Sciple), Willie Stewart of The Third World and Damian Marley’s bass player Stephanie Murphy, among others.

Many from the South Florida region are looking forward to seeing what one of their own, Paul Morris, does with award-winning 808xEliTE’s co-sign and new instrumentals.

Paul Morris Details Relationship With Grammy Award-Winning producer Tyshane of 808xEliTE.

Tyshane and Paul Morris have been friends for about a decade.

“I met Tyshane Thompson about 9 years ago,” says Paul Morris in an exclusive interview with JamTheHype. “When I first saw him, he was standing on a crate operating a high tech sound board his dad (Papa San) owned. I thought he was just playing with buttons, considering he was only 9 at the time but to my amazement, real music came from the young man. Working in the studio became normal for us. The first song he attempted to produce for me was called “Hold Me Close;” it was my first original completed piece. Tyshane was always business oriented even in his pre-teens, so much so, that I nick-named him “cash please.”

Paul Morris recalls how his working relationship with Tyshane developed over time.

“When we began to work together; he produced for me and co-produced tracks with me on my first EP released in 2011, Paul Morris Under Construction,” says the rapper/singer. “Over the years, we have continued to tackle other projects together. As a matter of fact, he has produced on all of my up-and-coming projects that are scheduled to be released in 2014. As we speak, Tyshane, 808 and I are putting the finishing touches on my mixtape entitled The UNDER DOG. The last time I saw Tyshane, I thanked him. I told him I really appreciate the fact that he has made time for me and my project. EliTE (Tyshane’s Stage name) and 808 (Matt Massaro) have driven across the tri-counties on several occasions and sat in the studio with me for hours working on beautiful music!

The Miami representative gives props to Tyshane for his achievements & humility.

“It has been a pleasure knowing EliTE and watching his career develop along with our ten year friendship,” shares Paul Morris. “I’m getting old! But I’m proud to say Tyshane has been a true friend and a man of his word; no accomplishment has been too great to kill his humble nature!”

Paul Morris’s 808xEliTE-produced project The UNDER DOG is set to release this year (2014).
