Plain James, Righteous Vision’s newest signee, releases his first single with the imprint, “Ridin High,” which is produced by D. Free (Lecrae, Flame, Trip Lee) and features fellow Dirty Work Affiliate, Young Noah and his label mate, Sherrod White. Plain James gives more insight about the content of the song below:
“Typically the phrase ‘Ridin High’ would refer to cruising in a vehicle with large rims, usually 24 inches or more. The phrase could also be associated with riding while intoxicated from smoking weed. But in the life of a Christian, ‘Ridin High’ has a completely different meaning. In a world where the worship of material possessions, as well as the use of drugs is rapidly on the rise, very few individuals acknowledge that a relationship with Jesus Christ is the ultimate prize that one can obtain. Without this relationship, life is meaningless, but with it, a sense of purpose and a renewed mindset are gained. Knowing that God has your back in any situation and that he loves you unconditionally gives you a feeling of peace that nothing in this world can duplicate. Living a life of faith can help you see beyond the most difficult circumstances, knowing that all things work together for the good of those who love The Lord and are called according to his purpose. That’s really ‘Ridin High.’”
Word !,,,,, We all need to be riding our minds high. It Ain’t bout the Rims !
