The popular tour returns to the road January 2014
Tickets to go on sale November 26
Nashville, Tenn. (October 17, 2013) — The Roadshow embarks on its sixth annual tour in January 2014 with a new group of all-star musicians. Leading the night are Skillet, Third Day, Andy Mineo, Jamie Grace and Royal Tailor. This tour follows the very successful 2012 “Roadshow” which was named one of Pollstar‘s Top 50 Tours for Mid-Year 2012. Also included in the evening will be a diverse group of newer artists including Soulfire Revolution, We As Human, The Neverclaim and Vertical Church Band.
Noticeably absent from this year’s lineup is the tours’ founding band, MercyMe. “The Roadshow still remains our vision and baby, but we thought it was time for us to take a year off and allow other great bands like Skillet and Third Day to join in the fun,” said Bart Millard. “We know fans will continue to support The Roadshow with these great artists. And, don’t worry, we’ll be back on the tour again.”
This year all seats will be reserved and there will be three ways concertgoers can obtain their tickets. The traditional $10 at-the-door, in advance for $10 at the venue box office during regular hours, or $20 online or by phone. There will be no additional service fees for the tickets, making it an affordable event for the whole family. Tickets will go on sale November 26 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Compassion International and Grand Canyon University will again serve as this year’s sponsors for the tour. Compassion International is the world’s largest Christian child development organization serving more than 1.2 million children. Grand Canyon University, founded in 1949, is Arizona’s premier private Christian university offering traditional programs on its growing campus as well as online bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs.
The tour will launch on the west coast, kicking off in Sacramento on January 9. It will continue to 21 additional markets including Portland, Dallas, Phoenix, Las Vegas and more before concluding Feb. 16 in Salt Lake City, UT.
